went to marine parade on friday. 

there was this lady there selling tissue papers,

3 for a dollar.

didn't expect anything except when i took the papers,

there was a paper stuck behind,

it read from john 14:6 and was in both english and chinese.

it ended at the bottom with the words abundant life.

that struck a chord within me.

how things have changed (:

yo. since the last time i've blogged, i've become more cheerful, and i know this will be permanent. not some fleeting emotion/feeling. haha. 

and this is because of SERVE. oh man i love SERVE.

S stands for Selfless,

E stands for Empowered,

R stands for Resourceful,

V stands for Venturing,

E stands for Encompassing.

the bible verse for SERVE is from Mark 10:45

"For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many."

yeah i think this verse is really meaningful(: speaks alot too.

shows us that Jesus really humbled himself, to die for our sins, he took our place and saved us by doing that.

we need to start living our lives by the word, which is the bible. and i like this particular verse,

2 timothy 3:16-17. 

it says "All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be throughly equipped for every good work." 

my group in SERVE is called TRANSFORMERS! 

we have 19 people in the group.

Sarah Tso, Ng Jun Kai, Walter Tan, Matthew Tay, James Ng, Juanita Kong, Andre Ang, Ho Hui Shan, Michelle Tan, Valarie, Gabriel Low, Rachel Lim, Pearl Wee, Han Yang, Cannan, Amelia Sng, Kenny Khairon, Clara, me and PASTOR FU MAN! haha. 

they're a really cool bunch, i have fun with them. 

i'm really glad to have this group of people to hang around with, especially so because they're all christians too! haha. just recently we had our sentosa outing! it was very fun, and we went with another group, Doulos, which means servant. 

everyone at serve is great, they're all a great bunch, and i've been learning more about God, my identity in christ, the word of Christ, the Lordship of Christ and so much more. they're all really relevant to our lives and we can apply what we learn everyday. i have also learnt alot from Pastor Fu Man. 

My new year resolution is to read the whole bible in a year. and so far i have finished the gospel of mark.

i'm really learning what it means to live in Christ likeness. 

i pray that i will remember what i learn in SERVE and live my life in Christ likeness.

If any of you are waiting for your "O" or "A" level results, you could join this program next year. or the year after next. actually it'll be on every year. er please if you really do have time, do go for SERVE. i did and it realy changed my outlook on life. right now we're being involved in a project, we're supposed to be doing our respective responsibilitys for the day we're supposed to go to st margarets primary school. we are also gonna have an attachment at the end of SERVE, and my group gets to go to Simei Care Center! haha i know we'll have a good time over there and may God bless us, that we might bring some of them to Christ!
